"Love" mixed media Layout for ColourArte

Hello lovely people!
Hope you all are having a good day.
Well today I am here to share with you all a layout I made using the wonderful ColourArte Products.
What I love about the ColourArte products is these colors deliver high Luminescence and vibrant colour to your projects. It makes your work stand out.

Here is a layout I made using these wonderful colours.

Some close-ups

PHOTO TUTORIAL-
**I do apologize for the dark images as these pictures were taken in the night in low light.**

STEP 1-

I started off with a thick black cardstock . Using the Bubbles stencil I applied the ColourArte silks in in a diagonal fashion. I made sure that the colours were random. These paints dry pretty quickly so you don't have to worry about them smudging at all!

STEP 2-

Next was using a different stencil for more texture and variation. I used the the metallic paint pots with the Stripes stencil. Keeping the stripes vertical I sponged some paint onto the stencil.

STEP 3-
For the next step, I used the same same bubbles stencil and some Twinkling H2O in Egyptian Gold and Copper Penny. I made it a point to pour a little water around 5 mins before I wanted to use the paint. For this page I was aiming for really thick and opaque gold colour. After about 5 mins with a little bit of mixing the Twinkling H2O was good to go.

I splattered some of this randomly on the page and some I painted on to the bubbles stencil, Lifted it up and put it painted face down on the paper to get the negative design of the stencil.I also mixed the Egyptian Gold twinkling H2O with some more water and sprayed through the bubble stencil.

STEP 4-
I also painted my chipboard embellishments with the Gold twinkling H20

STEP 7-
Next was painting all my flowers embellishments. I used only white mulberry flowers and a Prima Lyric flower. I painted all these with various shades of ColourArte Silks.

STEP 8-
I also made some embossed vellum flowers and fussy cut them.

STEP 9-
Finally, going onto deciding my pattern. Since I opted for a diagonal look I started to adhere my embellishments and forming a cluster in the same diagonal flow. Here you can see the cluster forming. I repeated the same for the other side.

Here is the final layout.

"Gypsy Soul"- Mixed media layout for Prima PPP

Hello friends!

This is a new post from me today. I tried my hands on the wonderful Prima Product Pick for the month of march. I feel you all should give it a try. If nothing else you will challenge yourself to create something each month and at the end of the year you will end up with at least 12 amazing pieces of art! Its a win win situation anyways...
Well here is the page I made..

"Gypsy Soul"

The fun thing about this page is that I used no mists at all. It been done entirely with Prima watercolour Oil pastels. I wanted to try them on  y layouts since some time and finally I got the chance.
What I love about them is that the application is just where I want it to be. I can still make it run ans spread like other mists and sprays but at the same time control the flow. One more thing... If you want your colours to be bright and spread easily then do use it on gesso covered paper...White or clear any will do the trick. And yes .. They don't smudge after drying and become water resistant.. almost waterproof once completely dry.

"Amaze Yourself"- Mixed media layout

Hello friends!
Hope you all are having a great day!
I wanted to make something depicting nature in the raw form.
So I decided to create something that was  highly textured using just  the shades
of greens and greys.

The wonderful chippies from 2Crafty made this possible. I just love those gorgeous
Anchors and Shrub chippies. Aren't they the most gorgeous and intricate pieces
to add to your beach/sea theme pages?
Have a look at the page-

"Amaze Yourself"

Some close-ups-

I wanted to keep raw look of the chippies but at the same time add some colour and shine.
So I coloured my chipboard pieces with some brown watercolour pastels and once it was
dry I added some liquid gold sparkle sparingly to them. Have a look.

I also did some doodling on my anchor chippie to make the lines stand out after
colouring. The shrubs and leaves were first embossed with dark green and teal embossing
powders and later I added a hint of yellow at places. It gave them the perfect natural
 look I was aiming for.

2Crafty Chipboards used-

Lavendar shrubs
Thistle shrubs
Bubble clumps
Amaze yourself

Paper collection and stamps from 7dots Studio- Destination unknown collection.

Hope you all like it.

"Dream" - Mixed media canvas

Hello everyone!
Today i have a mixed media canvas to share with you all. I made this using the gorgeous 2crafty chippies and Decoart Products as a part of the Decoart Blogger Outreach program.
"Dream"
I had been wanting to make a mixed media canvas something like this for so long.
Have a look!

Some closeups-

I applied some white acrylic paint to my chipboard pieces and once it was dry I mixed
some glitter with soft matt gel and randomly applied it to the chipboards. Next was
adding some DecoArt Metallic Lustre in Gold rush and champagne ice. They look
absolutely amazing after this treatment!
The background was treated in shades of Deco art Metallic lustre in the following colours-
Lavish green,Brilliant turquoise, Elegant emerald. At place I used gold rush  to highlight some areas. The edges were darkened with Iced espresso.

Love that 'Dream loopy font' chippie. I have loads of navy blue glitter on it
coupled with highlighting with DecoArt champagne ice metallic lustre paint.

The moon like chipboard that you see here is actually a left over from
Circular leafy frame chipboard. I love how beautifully it mimics moon. I
painted it with Gold DecoArt metallic lustre paint.

"Where there is a will there is a way"- Altered art journal cover

Hello friends!
I made this art journal cover recently using the lovely 2Crafty chippies, Finnabair mechanicals and the recently released IOD mould .
Hope you like it :)

I used a lot of texture paste, white gesso and clear crackle paste all by Finnabair line of Prima Marketing. The newly released IOD mould from Prima marketing are just amazing and there are so many possibilities with just a single mould.

Some close-ups

The Finnabair art ingredients micro beads add so much texture to the entire assembly.

Have a look at that crackle effect. Awesome isn't it?
Hope you like it.

Have a great day!
